Ultem

ULTEM plastic is an amorphous thermoplastic polyetherimide (PEI) combining excellent mechanical, thermal and electrical properties.

This plastic has exceptional resistance to environmental forces suit it for applications in the medical, electrical, electronic, microwave and aircraft industries.

Ultem has excellent tensile strength at room temperature and is heat and stress resistant.

It has high flame resistance and low smoke evolution and excellent mechanical and dielectric strength and stability.

It has a low dissipation factor over a wide range of frequencies; is easily machined, painted, hot stamped, printed, or metallized; and is often used in medical, electrical, microwave, auto and aircraft applications.

ULTEM is available in Natural, Black, and 10-30% Glass-reinforced grades.

Available sizes for round rod from 1/2″  to 4″ diameter;  alternative sizes may be available upon request

Available sizes for sheets range from 1/2″ to 2″ thick; alternative sizes may be available upon request.
